~ Morning After The Coup ~

I didn't believe about the military coup when some of my friends told me before I headed to bed at first until Daniel called me up to ask me for the direction so that he could go snap snap the pictures. I came out to the living room to find that all Thai channels were showing the King stuff nonstop. A friend messaged me to inform me that Today's World Trading class was cancelled for good and that the university is closed today. Yeah! I hate to be in that class anyway. Anyway when it seemed like all coming real, I kinda just remembered the Thai military coups in the Thai historical timeline that my ex used to tell. I'm actually living through one... well I was alive during one anyway. :P How cool is that! It's amazing how fast the news travelled. Everyone was on the phone calling one another... the network was always busy last night. So busy that someone started a romour that "in an hour they will cut off the phoneline, the internet and the mobile network". Crazy! but I did believe it though.

Anyway the life this morning seems like another one, but the difference is the feeling though. Nothing violent happened to me or my friends. It was as if it was a dream. It did happen though. My ex still took his mum to the airport and the hospital. Kitz is still blogging or thinking about shopping. Klao is out buying her materials for her yellow tutu wedding party dress. Me... I'm soon taking my mum out to pay the bills. It's good that we all have a day off work (and in my case studies). My mum and dad was talking about politics this morning (without fighting with one another for their different opinions) and the conversation was hot. To me... I'm just wondering how this could cause a serious economic effect to the Thai economy and how much trouble Thais have to go through after the long period of time that Thaksin government ruled the country and this military coup. Political worries cloud Thai economy alright... *sigh*. The question is no longer just about the political side of the country, but about how we all would survive in the future. What will become of our economy? private investment? consumption? development? Everything is now certainly put on hold. But then we all have to go on living our normal lives to make the best of it. Found out what Daniel wrote at the Metroblogging Bangkok about last night. :)

My nanny just called from Petchabun to ask how my family is in Bangkok and she was dead worried about The King. Mum said The King would be ok because everytime this kinda coup occurs, the former royal guards or the generals would be protecting him. That's a relief to hear that. :) Anyway should go shower, take care of bills, and back to my Monetary Policy homework on velocity of money *huge sigh*. :)

Cactus status: Still alive. Unaffected by the coup last night. Totally green and happy. :)

No blood in the street of Khrungthep and the end of too many months with political confusion, that's great for me!

It seems that Thaksin don't want to Sia nha and stay aboard to let tjhe army deal with this matter.

This govt was no more democratic and I hope for Thailand that it will bring peace and prosperity

Long live to the King !
